Jared Hodges served 25 years in U.S. military special operations as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), a role at the intersection of air and ground operations where communication, coordination, and decision-making could determine the outcome of a mission.
His experience spans conventional and special operations, counterterrorism, military freefall, helicopter operations, infiltration and exfiltration, hostage rescue, vehicle convoys, and complex mission planning. His career culminated at the highest levels of U.S. Air Force special operations, supporting national mission forces, coordinating other special operators, and preparing teams for deployment. He was awarded five Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart over the course of his service.
That range—from large-scale combat operations to small-team missions where trust and timing carry the day—gives him an instinctive understanding of how special operations teams communicate, plan, adapt, and move when conditions change in real time.
